Our latest winner: Mr. Riley Crow of Jones High School
This is Mr. Crow’s first year as a teacher after graduating from UCO college last May, and he has already made a remarkable impact as our Band/Music teacher. However, this is not why I have put him in for this merit recognition. Recently, he faced significant personal challenges, including emergency surgery and the loss of his father within 1 day of each other. Yet he remained committed to his students. Despite the circumstances, Mr. Crow chose to conduct the band at the State 2A championship game. This emphasizes his dedication to the football players, cheerleaders, and marching band members who had all worked tirelessly to reach this moment. His unwavering resolve to support his students, his School and our small community, even in the face of adversity, truly exemplifies the spirit of dedication and leadership deserving of this award. ~ Jennifer Pittman
